Amcham Finland’s network is set to grow thanks to a new partnership with AmCham Estonia that will help more companies succeed in the world’s largest consumer market.
The development will also unlock new opportunities for Amcham Finland’s US-based community, and investors interested in tapping into the fast-developing Northern European market.
More than 40 Finnish growth companies are already using Launchpad USA to build their business. From March, AmCham Estonia member companies will be able to access the program.
Benefits include: tailored US business advice from in-house experts, exclusive networking opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic, access to Amcham Finland’s NYC office, and Launchpad USA’s business programs.
It’s not only the growth companies and US business partners who are set to profit. For investors, Amcham Finland’s Helsinki HQ is the perfect place to access the New North marketplace, which, including the Nordics, Russia and the Baltics, represents 50 million consumers.
In particular, it means increased access to Estonia, dubbed the Silicon Valley of Europe. Finland’s close neighbor may be small, but in tech terms it’s a giant, producing more startups per capita than any European country.
The birthplace of Skype and TransferWise has fast been attracting the attention of venture capitalists, who invested more than EUR 70 million into the startup scene in 2014.
Head of Transatlantic Business Development, Mike Klyszeiko, says expanding the Launchpad USA program across the Gulf of Finland is a strategic fit.
“Not only are we taking more business to our partners across the Atlantic, but we can better serve investors with an eye on this exciting market. We are perfectly positioned to give them better access and insights into Estonia’s dynamic entrepreneurial scene.”
AmCham Estonia Executive Director Daria Sivovol says its exciting news for Estonian growth companies keen on taking their business to the American market.
“What is more valuable than having the support system in place and access to the right business partners when you are about to take this important leap?”
“Estonian companies already doing business across the pond will also benefit from an enhanced network.”
Amcham Finland and Amcham Estonia have been working closely since 2013 to deliver members a larger network, more resources, and better connections. Launchpad USA is open to growth companies regardless of industry, size or goals.
