We believe in openness, so let’s let air in.
Things could be better.
Not too long ago, the air was filled with optimism. The drive for internationalization in Finland and the greater Nordics was palpable. Was that just a phase? Are we allowing ourselves to get sucked into a cycle of negativity and cynicism?
It begs the question: What will you do? Will you choose to turn a blind eye to what’s happening, hoping that it’ll “blow over”? Or will you take a stand?
At Amcham, we’re taking a stand. We hope that you are, too.
This is where you come in. Tell us what, in your mind, are the three keys to the future success of Finland. What does Finland look like in 2020?
Write your three big words – your Vision for Finland – on a blank piece of paper. Take a picture of yourself and your three big words. Post your photo on Twitter with the hashtag #3BigWords. We’ll join you in spreading the word.
At Amcham, 2016 has already been a year of progress. New companies are joining the movement. Our hundreds of member companies represent 20 different industries and 20 countries of origin.
They are now part of a community with a “can-do” attitude, constantly on the lookout for new opportunities and partnerships.
And the Amcham team is growing, too! Three fresh new faces have come on board:
Pia Posio has joined Amcham as Head of Communications. She brings to the team a vast experience working in a multicultural enterprise with a background in sales, marketing, and communications. Pia is constantly keeping her eye on what’s beyond the next few steps and how to seize opportunities for our members.
Anne Polak is our queen of content and her magic touch can be found in nearly everything you receive from Amcham. She was to become the next Indiana Jones, but luckily, through a series of unexpected events, life brought her to Amcham Finland via Russia and Lappeenranta.
Kalliopi Papadopoulou is right in the center of Amcham’s online world. Her signature is found in Amcham’s digital channels and creative materials. Impressed by Amcham’s look and feel or ever wondered how we stay on top of our online game? We have Kalliopi to thank.
Again, we look forward to taking you on a journey of enthusiasm and hope. Amcham is here to challenge and equip individuals, businesses and the market to stay ahead of the curve.
Together with your help, let’s make things happen!
