Finland’s newly elected government has committed to the minimum 2% of GDP spending required by NATO. The amount allocated for defence materiel procurement totals approximately EUR 2 billion.

Please join us from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, on October 23, at Epicenter Helsinki on Mikonkatu 9 for a briefing by Tarja Jaakkola, Director-General of Resource Policy Department at the Ministry of Defence. The Resource Policy Department is in charge of developing resources for military national defence as well as providing guidelines for the companies generating services for the defence administration and other cooperation partners, export control of defence materiel and steering of strategic projects. Tarja will present, engage in discussion and answer questions pertaining to defence procurement, her departments role surrounding NATO processes and related areas of responsibility.
