Policy Communications Intern at Amcham Finland

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Policy Communications Intern to support Amcham’s policy and advocacy work and communications projects. You will work directly with our Policy and Communications Managers, contributing to initiatives that give international companies a stronger voice in Finland. This internship offers hands-on experience at the intersection of business, policy, and communications—ideal for students interested in international relations, economics, or political science. This is a full-time internship, but we offer a flexible working schedule and can accommodate thesis classes and other school requirements as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Support preparation of briefs, reports, and stakeholder outreach materials
• Assist in coordinating policy working groups and meetings
• Contribute to the monthly Policy Newsletter and digital communications (web, social media)
• Support event planning, preparation, and execution (both in-person and virtual)
• Update and maintain media, stakeholder, key contact, and membership databases
• Participate in ad hoc projects supporting policy and communications initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Student in political science, international relations, communications, economics, or related field
• Excellent written and spoken English (Finnish a plus)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Curiosity about public policy, business, and transatlantic relations
• Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn
