Amcham Finland is taking part in the the first ever Investor & Business Forum Tampere, which is part of the international Tampere Smart City Week, presented by the City of Tampere, Business Tampere and Tampere Chamber of Commerce.
Following the co-creation and cooperation approaches of smart cities, the forum is about knowledge-sharing and learning from each other. The organizers want to pick the brains of politicians and the leaders of some of the biggest multinational companies that have taken the leap and made business investments in Finland. They also want to hear stories from local companies that have started their operations in Tampere.
- What is it that makes a city an attractive place for business and investment?
- Do smart developments and technologies contribute to the allure a city has on investors?
- Do we accommodate equally for both foreign and domestic companies?
- What more could we do to pull in additional investment, or to support the operations of existing businesses?
The event brings together some of the most influential people in the fields of business and politics: CEOs and leaders of multinational companies, high-profile politicians, and local SME representatives. The aim is to bring forward fresh views on the appeal of Finland and the challenges it is facing as a target market for investors.
