Finland Investor Confidence Barometer Launch 2026

Finland’s ability to attract and retain investment is critical for future growth, competitiveness, and innovation. At a time when global competition for investments is intensifying, understanding how companies perceive Finland as an investment destination has never been more important.

The Finland Investor Confidence Barometer provides a unique and timely insight into how both international and domestic companies view Finland’s investment environment today—and how they see its future. The survey explores in depth:

• Finland’s strengths and weaknesses as an investment location
• Business leaders’ forecasts for employment and R&D investment over the next two years
• Expectations for policy actions that could enhance Finland’s attractiveness
• For the first time, companies’ views on political risk in Finland
• How Finland compares with competing countries in the global race for investment

In this event, Vice Rector Kai Nordlund of the University of Helsinki will open the program, followed by Lars Hagebris, Director, International Operations, Invest in Finland at Business Finland, who will present the key findings of the barometer and what they mean for Finland’s competitiveness and future growth.

Following the presentation, Alexandra Pasternak-Jackson, CEO at Amcham Finland, will moderate a panel discussion to reflect on the results and explore what actions are needed to ensure Finland remains a competitive investment destination. Our panelists include:
