Is Finland Falling Behind in Life Sciences Investment? A Benchmarking Study Launch

Finland likes to call itself a serious player in life sciences. A new benchmark puts that to the test.

Join Amcham Finland on the afternoon of September 30 for the launch of the Amcham Finland Life Sciences & Health Benchmarking Study, produced with KPMG and supported by lead sponsor AbbVie and sponsors Bristol Myers Squibb, Business Finland, IQVIA, Johnson & Johnson, and Novartis. The study measures Finland against the world’s leading markets in medicine, biotech, and medtech. Finland needs new sources of growth, and few sectors promise more than life sciences. The results will tell us whether Finland is on course and what it will take to get there.

The program opens with a keynote from Olaf Weppner from AbbVie, followed by a presentation of the study’s findings from KPMG. Nina Ekholm-Wenberg (Johnson & Johnson) and Susanna Flaherty (IQVIA), Chairs of Amcham Finland’s Life Sciences Working Group, will set the scene on why Finland’s place in life sciences investment is now.

The afternoon closes with a cross-party political panel, with more panelists to be announced. Moderated by Amcham Finland CEO Alexandra Pasternak-Jackson, the current panelists include:
